Because on Sunday you let someone else brew your coffee.
Sunday Espresso Club is the pop up by two-time Finnish Barista Champion Jarno Peräkylä. The idea is to serve coffees from some of the most interesting roasteries around the world – preferably from the ones not seen too often in Finland.
On our second pop up, we will receive two coffees from Maxwell Colonna-Dashwood’s (aka. Water Wizard of Bath) roastery; Rwanda Kilimbi and Guatemala Concepcion Pixcaya.
Kilimbi is one of only two washing stations with permission to produce natural coffees in Rwanda. We expect to see these a lot more in roastes’ selection next couple of years but right now this is a VERY rare treat!
Finca Concepcion Pixcaya has placed in the Guatemala Cup Of Excellence no fewer than 4 times this decade, with this microlot the most recent award-winner. This washed red bourbon is not to be missed!
We’ll also have a very limited amount of Ethiopia and Colombia from Manhattan Roasters and super weird Costa Rica El Diamante from Ditta Artigianale.
The place is the same old Artisan Café on Vuorikatu from 11 to 17. You can get there by buss, tram, metro, train or Suomenlinna ferry.
Welcome to spend another lazy Sunday with stellar coffee, bread and chocolate!
